CRANS MONTANA

Crans-Montana is a municipality in the district of Sierre in the canton of Valais that was established in 2017 by a merger of Chermignon, Mollens, Montana and Randogne. Crans-Montana is a ski-resort situated in a close proximity to the world renowned Zermatt, 1.5h drive to Chamonix and 1.5h drive to Lausanne Airport, 2h drive to Geneva Airport.

It is located on a plateau of about 1’500m (4’920ft) above sea level with a highest elevation of 3’177m ( 10’423ft). The skiing area of Crans-Montana has over 140km (87mi) of pistes and includes Plaine Morte Glacier, the ice field that covers 7.88 square kilometers (3.04sq mi) below the mountain Wildstrubel in the Bearnese Alps. The area is easily accessible by cable car and practice of cross-country skiing is possible throughout the year.
